Harvest Hands

Harvest Hands is a community-focused food assistance initiative operated by Rhema Life, Inc., designed to support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Guided by principles of compassion, dignity, and service, the program provides households with access to groceries through grocery stipends and scheduled food distribution events.

Since the launch of the Thanksgiving Season Food Drive in 2025, Harvest Hands has continued its efforts to strengthen local communities through generosity, partnership, and outreach. Approved grocery stipends are distributed via check or Zelle. Food distribution events occur exclusively on announced dates, with locations and participation details communicated separately. Food is not available for pickup outside of these scheduled events.

While we strive to help as many neighbors as possible, our resources are limited, and we may not be able to assist every applicant. Grocery stipends are reviewed carefully and depend on available funding. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to stay connected for future opportunities to participate and support one another.

How Does This Program Work?

  1. Apply: Complete the application below to request a grocery stipend. Provide information about your household, grocery needs, and preferred contact method. This application does not register you for a food giveaway.

  2. Review: Our team reviews requests based on household needs and available funding. Due to the high volume of applications and limited resources, we cannot assist everyone who applies. Approval, the amount requested, and assistance by a specific date are not guaranteed.

  3. Receive: If approved, we will contact you to confirm your stipend amount and payment details. Grocery stipends are issued by check or Zelle.

  4. Attend Scheduled Food Giveaways: Food giveaways are held only on announced event dates. Locations and participation instructions will be shared separately for each event. Food is not available for pickup outside these scheduled events.

Harvest Hands Assistance Form

  • To request a grocery stipend, complete and submit the application on this page. You do not need to email a separate application. If approved, our team will contact you to confirm your stipend amount and arrange payment by check or Zelle.

    Due to the high volume of requests and limited funding, we cannot assist everyone who applies. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval, the amount requested, or assistance by a specific date.

    This application does not register you for a food giveaway. Event dates, locations, and participation instructions will be announced separately. For help completing the application, email admin@rhemalifesc.org.

  • Grocery stipends depend on household needs and available funding. Assistance is not automatically provided each month, and receiving a stipend previously does not guarantee future approval. Due to high demand and limited resources, we may be unable to approve new or repeat requests.

    Food giveaways take place only on announced event dates. Food is not available for pickup outside these scheduled events. Please follow the participation instructions shared for each giveaway.

  • Financial contributions help fund grocery stipends and scheduled food giveaway events. You can give online through our Donate page.

    Community members, businesses, and organizations can also support Harvest Hands through sponsorships and partnerships. To discuss these opportunities or ask which food donations are currently needed, email comms@rhemalifesc.org. Please contact us before bringing donation items so we can confirm current needs and coordinate arrangements.
