Harvest Hands

Harvest Hands is a community-centered food assistance initiative under Rhema Life, Inc., created to combat food insecurity and provide essential support to individuals and families in need. Rooted in compassion, dignity, and service, Harvest Hands ensures that every person who comes to us receives nourishment, hope, and holistic care. Our mission is to extend a helping hand by providing nutritious food, resources, and support—empowering individuals and families to thrive physically, emotionally, and socially.

In 2025, we launched our annual Thanksgiving Season Food Drive, providing meals, canned goods, non-perishable items, and clothing to families during one of the most critical times of the year. As we continue to grow, Harvest Hands will be expanding into a system of monthly assistance and quarterly food drives to offer consistent, year-round support. Through generosity, partnership, and ongoing outreach, we remain committed to strengthening the families and communities we serve.

How Does This Program Work?

  1. Connect: Community members can contact us by email for emergency food assistance or join us during one of our scheduled food or meal distribution events.

  2. Receive: Participants receive assistance with groceries, produce, and other essentials, ensuring families have what they need to feel supported and cared for.

  3. Support: Our team is committed to creating a warm, respectful, and efficient experience for every individual and family we serve.

  4. Grow: Through ongoing partnerships, consistent outreach, and year-round initiatives, families receive continued support and opportunities to stay connected. Community members and partners are also invited to help us grow by donating resources, food items, or financial contributions to sustain and expand our efforts.

  • Harvest Hands is open to anyone experiencing food insecurity or in need of support—no income verification, membership, or documentation required. To receive assistance, you will complete the application and email it to us at admin@rhemalifesc.org. Once received, our team will connect with you regarding monthly distributions, quarterly food drives, or any emergency support you may need. Our goal is to make accessing help simple, respectful, and barrier-free.

  • Beginning in 2025, Harvest Hands launched its annual Thanksgiving Season Food Drive. Monthly assistance and quarterly food distribution events will begin in 2026. Assistance frequency will depend on our needs eligibility meter, which helps us determine how often we can support each household based on available resources. While the number of times a family can receive assistance may be limited, we are committed to serving as many households as possible. If we are ever unable to meet a need directly, our team will connect families with trusted community partners and resources that can provide additional support.

  • Community members can support Harvest Hands by donating food items, non-perishable goods, clothing, or financial contributions. Every donation helps us sustain our assistance efforts and expand our reach through monthly support and seasonal food drives. You can also partner with us by becoming a program sponsor, helping provide the resources needed to assist families consistently throughout the year.
